Friendship Never Dies

Sarah and Lizzie were best friends their entire lives. They met in Kindergarten and went all through Elementary and Junior High school together. Whenever you saw one of them, you could be sure the other was somewhere nearby. They were inseparable in anything they did.

Unfortunately, Sarah was killed in a tragic car accident during their Sophomore year of High School. Lizzie was devastated by this and was never  the same again. She became a heavy user of drugs and alcohol, and any destructive behavior that could take her mind off the loss of her best friend.

After a few months had gone by, Lizzie claimed that Sarah was visiting her at night in the form of a shadow. No one else ever saw this so they blamed her heavy substance abuse causing hallucinations. Lizzie would tell other friends that Sarah would tell her how lonely she was on the other side and how she wished Lizzie could join her.

One day, at twenty six years old, Lizzie was found dead in her apartment. Everyone assumed it was an overdose, yet her toxicology report came up clean and no other cause of death could be determined.

Dozens of people turned out for Lizzie's funeral. Several guests swear they saw a shadow that resembled a teenage girl stop by the casket, as if to show respect, then quickly leave with another shadow following close behind.
