Some Day

Dreaming of a better life than the one we have now
We're gonna have it some day, somehow
Don't need a white picket fence, I can settle for chain link
Don't need a garbage disposal as long as we have a sink
The yard can be paved as far as I care
As long as it's ours and as long as it's there
Invite friends over for a barbecue
On our charcoal grill with a cooler full of brew
These things are in our future, all we have to do is wait
Karma comes back, so we have to wait on fate

Some day
Everything will be okay
Some day
We'll have enough money to play
Some day
Just as long as you stay
Some day
Karma will pay

The dogs will have more than enough room to run
We'll be laying in lawn chairs out in the sun
Beer in hand while the radio is playing
Every fucking day til our hair starts graying
Yard mowed by the neighbor kid so I don't have to do it
Give him twenty bucks once he gets through it
Swimming pool full of crystal clear water
Maybe we can even adopt a sun or daughter
Dreams of everything we ever wanted coming true
We can do it as long as there's me and you

Some day
I'll be able to say
It's finally our day
